Maryland Units:
The Army of Northern Virginia is the oldest and largest Civil War reenacting organization in the United States.
Representing thousands of reenactors from around the country, the ANV is comprised of 10 battalions and provides a
unified command structure at many large, national events. Individual units also obtain their insurance through the ANV.

New England Brigade
The New England Brigade is the Federal counterpart to the Liberty Greys. The two organizations cooperate on a
regional basis that ensures a safe, enjoyable reenacting experience for spectators and participants alike.
Our website would not be complete without information on the 1st Maryland's favorite "boys in blue" - the 8th CT.
Volunteers. On many occasions, our units celebrate together the history of the War Between The States at Living
History and battle reenactment events.
Our newest "friends in blue" the 11th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, Company A. A class unit with outstanding
leadership. These boys know how to put on a show!

The "Liberty Greys" is the moniker selected by the members of the 6th Regiment. The 1st MD participates as an active
member of this organization or unifies with other company members to form a "clumpany".
