The News Board is here to highlight a few of the activities in which the 1st Maryland Infantry participates and to
announce general news of the unit.

The annual meeting of the unit was held in Glastonbury, CT. The newest member elected to the Board was Janet O'Connor, as our
Corresponding Secretary. Thank you, Janet. Thanks to all the members of the Board for committing to another two years of service to the unit.
Also addressed at the meeting, was the selection of the events that the 1st Maryland will attend and support during the 2008 season.

Chris Svejk will head up the new Recruiting Committee. Members are being sought to volunteer their services.
The plans are moving ahead for a 1st Maryland "JVC" event on May 30-June 1, 2008. (event canceled)
1st Maryland business cards will be forthcoming for all members.
Our Newsletter Editor (Ray B.) is always looking for news items. If you have an opinion - post it.
Gay M. will undergo knee replacement surgery. Good luck, Gay!
